Titoluwa Alofe
Sophomore Titoluwa Alofe qualified for GHP in mathematics.
“I’ve always been pretty good at math,” Alofe said. “[Starr’s Mill] has helped me like math more than I did coming into [the school].”
Since he was young, Alofe had found math easy. Because it was easy for him, it became his favorite subject. Through his first two years of high school, he continues to develop his proficiency in math.
Through Starr’s Mill, he has been able to find new friends through the clubs that he has participated in. Also through his love for math, he has found friends that also appreciate math like him.
Alofe believes that his good experience at Starr’s Mill has helped him appreciate mathematics. He credits teacher Vicki Morgan specifically for helping him improve at AP Statistics.
“[Morgan] helped me a lot get better at math, enjoy math more, and she helped me with the process of getting in [GHP],” Alofe said.
Alofe is indecisive on his long term goals at the moment. He claims he may pursue math, but that he might also pursue a different path.
He is a member of the basketball, academic bowl, and math bowl teams. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and watching basketball, reading and watching TV, and chilling with his friends.
