Starr’s Mill is set to host the the annual Battle for the Troops rivalry game against the McIntosh Chiefs. The girls’ game will start at 5:55 p.m., and the boys’ game will begin at approximately 7:55 p.m.

The class of 2021 is holding a clothing drive to support The Bloom Closet and help children. The donation items can be put in the donation boxes located around Starr’s Mill, or items can be shipped directly to The Bloom Closet until March 30.

Starr’s Mill students in Walt Ellison’s economics class donated money to Georgia Council on Economic Education, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta. The donated money will help economics teachers across Georgia receive training, support, and activities to take back to their classrooms and improve economics education around the state.

The Hero club will host a fundraiser starting this Wednesday through next Wednesday for all fourth period classes. The raised funds will go to the University of Georgia Athens Heros to help with children who are affected by HIV and AIDS.

Starr’s Mill has offered an American Sign Language 1 class since 2015.  However, this year, even with the course on the student course request sheet (pictured here), 96 students missed the opportunity to take ASL because an agreement could not be reached on how the course would be funded.
