Nicole Moore originally went to the University of Akron for a degree in elementary education. “When I did my student teaching, I realized that I preferred teaching older students,” Moore said. Moore went back to school to become certified in grades 1-12 which she said “is pretty unusual.”
Moore has twelve years of teaching experience under her belt with both middle and high school students. She has taught and collaborated with other teachers in seventh, ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grades. She is currently a collaborative teacher in 11th and 12th grade English.“I absolutely love it,” Moore said. She was a substitute teacher for two years at the Mill before taking this part-time teaching job.
