Starr’s Mill welcomes the new attendance secretary Jessica Lemmons.

Lemmons was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she attended school up to college. She attended Texas A&M University and there received her bachelor’s degree in accounting. Until moving to Peachtree City about a year ago, Lemmons worked in tax accounting.

Lemmons moved to Peachtree City about a year ago because of her husband’s job. “I have a kid in this school system for six years, so I thought it’d be fun to work where they’ll be at school,” Lemmons said.

Lemmons enjoys being able to interact with the students as she checks them in and out through the day. In her home town of Houston, schools were much larger than Starr’s Mill, and Lemmons said she loves the community bond between faculty and students at the school.

Lemmons is excited to get to know staff and students better. “My favorite part of the job is interacting with the students,” Lemmons said.
