Starr’s Mill welcomes new Advanced Placement physics and environmental science teacher Galen Crew. Besides serving as a long-term substitute for the AP physics classes last year, this is Crew’s first year as a permanent educator.
His motivation to follow his dream of being an educator came from his previous teachers from his high school and college. “I was inspired by my high school teachers and good professors in college to consider a career in education,” Crew said.
Crew’s main objective for his first year is to help his students achieve high AP scores on their final test in the spring. “I will feel great if the majority of students pass their AP exams. I will be pleased,” Crew said.
Crew said he is looking forward to beginning his career as an educator especially at Starr’s Mill and said that the position is a good fit.
