Starr’s Mill welcomes collaborative geometry teacher Denise Hopper. Hopper, a Tennessee native, came here from working at Northgate High School in Newnan. She has enjoyed her time working here and is proud to “be a part of the Panther family.”
“I’ve felt welcomed and supported here from the start,” Hopper said.
Although Hopper thinks that working at a new school can be a bit intimidating, she’s glad that she gets the opportunity to work here and plans on attaining more responsibilities, including working at the Mill for more periods per day.
“I enjoy serving others, volunteering where I can, and just being kind and helpful to everyone,” Hopper said.
As of now, Hopper works here for three periods a day along with raising her two children, 6-year-old Avery and 19-month-old Will. Between being a parent and working part time, Hopper enjoys reading fiction books, volunteering in her free time, and taking her family on vacation.
“I am amazed by the level of talent and dedication from our teachers and staff, and I am glad that I can be a part of the great work they are doing in our students’ lives,” Hopper said.
