Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore Brayden Nelson as the seventh Player of the Week for the spring sports season.

“I feel like I’ve really tried to keep the team connected, so that we can all perform great at matches,” Nelson said.

Nelson plays line 1 singles. He demonstrates being a strong competitor and strives to work hard in all of his practices and matches. Nelson keeps up his leadership on and off the court, keeping his teammates’ spirits up as well.

“I just love his demeanor on the court,” head coach Amy Evert said. “He just puts his head down and gets the job done to focus on what he needs to do.”

Boys tennis won the region this year and hosted the first round of GHSA state playoffs. After defeating Forest Park, the Starr’s Mill tennis season came to an end on April 24 when the Panthers lost to Blessed Trinity.
