Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior Wells Almand as the 12th Player of the Week for the winter sports season.
“Wells is a team player, and she is always supportive of all the other dancers,” head coach Mandy Ridgeway said. “She always works hard and always has a smile on her face.”
The Pantherettes finished first in jazz and pom in every competition they entered this season.
“I work really hard in practice, and I always give my all,” Almand said. “I think we all push each other to be our best, and we don’t settle for anything less than perfection.”
Due to a GHSA rule change, each dance team was only allowed to choose one routine. The Pantherettes chose their jazz routine and won state in the 4A-5A division. This is the eighth consecutive year that Starr’s Mill has won a dance state championship.
