Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior swimmer Jack Lynch as the ninth Player of the Week for the winter sports season.
“I enjoy the hardness of it, like training, just the physical demand that it requires,” Lynch said.
Lynch works hard and puts in his best effort. He is a great swimmer, training year-round to make sure he is the best he can be. He is also a great teammate, lifting up his fellow swimmers and helping them do their best.
“He’s just a really great swimmer, but besides that, he’s definitely a really hard worker who puts in all the time and does all the little things to make sure that he is the best that he can be,” boys swim coach Derek Abrams said. “He’s there for others, helping them out if there’s technique questions. Any way to help the swimmer get faster, he’s all for it.”
Jack qualified for state in four events: the 200 yard IM, the 200 yard freestyle relay, the 100 yard breaststroke, the 400 yard freestyle relay.
He was the 2024 state champion in the 100 yard breaststroke and finished 2nd this year.
