Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore wrestler Alym Rawji as the sixth Player of the Week for the winter sports season.

“I try really hard, and I try my best to give it my all,” Rawji said.

Rawji displays his work and respectfulness in the weight room, trying his best everyday. He has consistently listened to his coaches and does not complain about what they will do in practice. 

“Alim’s been wrestling for us for two years now and he comes in the room everyday, works as hard as he can, and gives us everything he’s got,” head coach John Steiner said. “He never whines, never complains, and always does what we ask him to do.”

Two weeks ago, during their varsity duals, Rawji earned two varsity wins and two varsity pins. Rawji wrestles in the 144 lb. weight class.

Varsity wrestling participates in the traditional area match at 9 a.m. on February 1. Harris County High School will host the event.
