Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore basketball player Lindsey Kopacek as the third Player of the Week for the winter sports season.

“I was chosen because I work hard and I have a really supportive basketball team who encourages me to push past my mistakes and keep playing,” Kopacek said.

Kopacek displays a strong work ethic and drive as she plays. She affects a lot of different parts of the game by consistently putting her teammates first and having a competitive drive when stepping on the court.

“Lindsey has been the backbone of our team over the last few weeks,” girls basketball head coach Brandon Cerezola said. “She’s a force inside that teams have to respect, which gives us the opportunity to be able to do things inside out.” 

Kopacek is averaging over 18 points and 15 rebounds per game. The team is currently 3-2 to begin the season.

Starr’s Mill hosts McNair at 6 p.m. on December 10.
