Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior Lincoln DeLaere as the 23rd Player of the Week for the fall sports season.

In the team’s season-ending loss to Cartersville on November 22, DeLaere caught 10 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns.

“Just focus on one play at a time, focus on the moments and try not to get overwhelmed,” DeLaere said.

DeLaere also set individual game records for receptions, reception yards, touchdowns, reception points, number of kick returns, and Individual all-purpose yards. DeLaere became the first 1,000-yard receiver in school history, ending the season with 1,017 reception yards.

“Lincoln broke six individual passing records that night,” head coach David Cooper said. “Lincoln had a great game.”

The football team ended their season with a 10-2 record in Cooper’s first year as head coach. Cartersville advanced to the AAAA quarterfinals where they lost to North Oconee, 28-26.
