Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore Hannah Kate Fierbaugh as the 21st Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“This year, I did all three positions in the routine,” Fierbaugh said. “So I based mostly and then I also flew some and backspotted.”
When she comes to practice, Fierbaugh is a focused athlete as well as a good teammate. In their routine, she performs all positions.
“Hannah Kate is such a good student athlete,” head coach Jana Justice said. “When you think of what a perfect student athlete would be, it would be Hannah Kate. She does everything on our cheer team. She flies, she bases, she tumbles and backspots, and there’s no other person on our team who does all of that.”
The team placed in the top three at all five of their competitions. Their highest score overall was a 94.5 and placed fifth in region, with their score being a 92.
With the competition season at its close, the girls performed well at state, placing eighth overall.
