Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize varsity volleyball player Ember Ness as the sixth Player of the Week of the fall sports season.
“I’m a team player and I support my team,” Ness said. “I work hard and I lift my team up.”
Ness leads the team with a .336% hitting rate. She also leads the team in blocks (29) and kills (109).
“Ember is a hard worker and she always puts forth max effort,” head coach Shayne Thompson said. “She is our most powerful hitter right now with the highest kill rate.”
Earlier this week, Starr’s Mill defeated Brookstone 2-1 and Union Grove 2-0. The Panthers then defeated Newnan 2-0 and Griffin 2-0 on September 12. The team is currently 12-13 overall
All three volleyball teams travel to Lakepoint on September 14 for an all day tournament.
