Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior wide receiver Lincoln DeLaere as the second Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“I’ve been playing football since fourth grade, so about eight years now,” DeLaere said. “I had a good game, and it came down to some pivotal moments that helped us secure the win.”
DeLaere had 6 receptions for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns. He is part of a Starr’s Mill offense that accumulated 374 yards against Northgate in last week’s 35-14 win.
“Lincoln had an incredible night on Friday,” head coach David Cooper said. “Our offense is opening up, and DeLaere has become a main target. If we continue to distribute the ball effectively, with him as the focus, no one will be able to cover all three of our receivers.”
Senior quarterback Logan Inagawa completed 12 of 14 passes for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Vikings. Five different players had at least one reception.
