Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore golfer Graham Boland as the 10th Player of Week for the spring sports season.

“I’ve been playing golf for Starr’s Mill for three years now,” Boland said “I have always been striving, trying my best, and just doing what I can do to help out.” 

Head coach Burt Waller selected Boland because of his consistency, which has helped Boland earn the top spot on the golf team. Boland has the lowest nine hole average for the boys, 38.6.

“He has been the most consistent this year and is playing in the number one spot,” Waller said. “He has been very reliable.”

In boys golf, 15 players make the team but only six play per competition. The lowest three scores count. To get the best average of these scores, every score matters.

Starr’s Mill plays in the Area 1-AAAA tournament on May 2 at The Fields Course starting at 8 a.m.
