Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize senior track athlete Tito Alofe as the sixth Player of the Week for the 2023 spring sports season.

“It’s fun,” Alofe said. “I have friends on the team, and I thought I would be pretty good at it.”

Head coach Chad Walker chose Alofe not just because he leads the boy’s team in points, but also because he maintains a great attitude. Walker emphasized how Alofe is humble and has proven to be great at showing leadership for the team.

“He’s just a great example of what you want your athletes to be like,” Walker said. “He’s at practice every day, he works hard, and shows what it takes to be successful.”

Earlier in the season, the boys won the Kowboy Invitational in Florida where Alofe was the overall MVP of the competition. The boys team placed first at the Jefferson Invitational two weeks ago.

Alofe has broken his own school record for high jump, and continues to score high points in the high jump, triple jump, and long jump at track meets.
