Tito Alofe

Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize sophomore Tito Alofe as the tenth Player of the Week for the 2022 spring sports season.

“He is very humble. He goes about his business without having to draw whole lot of attention to himself,” track head coach Chad Walker said. “I think that is a great way of doing things. He works hard and is successful at it.”

In the region meet, Alofe broke the school record in the high jump at 6 feet, 7 inches. The previous record was held at 6 feet, 6 inches set by Cody Clements in 2015.

“I love hanging out with my teammates,” Alofe said. “Practice can be hard, but it’s fun watching them all get better.”

Last week, the boys track and field team won the region for the second-straight year. The qualified runners will compete at sectionals on May 7 at Union Grove.
