Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior Preston Burris as the third  Player of the Week for the winter sports season.

“He is one of the hardest working wrestlers in the room every day,” wrestling head coach John Steiner said. ”He currently has a winning record of 9-6.”

Despite forfeiting 36 points to begin area duals competition, the Panthers earned several individual wins. Preston went 2-1 on the day, but no Starr’s Mill wrestlers advanced to state.

“I think I bring coaching to the newer guys,” Preston said. “I just help bring experience to them.”

After honoring the team’s two seniors this past Wednesday in a quad match, Starr’s Mill will not compete again until January 29 in the area traditionals at Northgate.
