Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior golfer Kyle Bachkosky as the 11th Player of the Week for the spring sports season. 

“Getting this award gives me a great confidence boost heading into the state championship,”Bachkosky said. “I’m looking forward to being able to represent my team in state.”

Head coach Burt Waller complimented Bachkosky’s consistent low scoring throughout the season. 

On April 24, Kyle shot 75 and finished third in the Trojan Invitational at Sunset Hills Country Club.

“He’s just smarter about it and that maturity is starting to show through,” Waller said. “When he plays that way his scores reflect it.”

Both Starr’s Mill golf teams compete again in the state championships on May 17 and 18 at Green Island in Columbus.
