Earlier this week, JV boys baseball played a pair of 5-inning games against East Coweta.
The Indians dominated the first game, holding Starr’s Mill to two hits. The first half of the double-header ended with an East Coweta victory, 3-1.
“We’re getting a lot of young talent, and getting to see what some of these boys can do,” assistant coach Nate Mothershed said.
East Coweta dominated the first five innings of the second game, including an inside-the-park homerun. The Indians led 5-0 going into the bottom of the 5th inning.
Solid hits and fielding errors allowed the Panthers to tie the game in the bottom of the 5th inning. The game ended in a tie, 5-5.
“I feel like our approach has gotten much better, and our mentality has really improved,” sophomore John Maddingly said.
The JV boys season is coming to a close. They travel to Pike County on March 29.
