On Monday, Starr’s Mill varsity girls lacrosse won a very close game against Mt. Paran, 17-13.
“We had a lot of momentum throughout the game, and then kind of lost it there in the second quarter, but it was nice to come back,” head coach Tony Kluemper said. “We had a great third and fourth quarter and it just showed that we have the perseverance and the tenacity to come back in a game.”
During the first three quarters of the game, the score remained close. Both sides were rarely scoring points.
“I feel like we all really worked as a team in the second quarter and we really meshed well together,” senior Sophia Marshburn said. “We fixed everything we were messing up in the first half.”
The Lady Panthers went into the fourth quarter leading 14-11. They were able to keep momentum up as a team during those last few minutes of the game to secure the win, 17-13.
The Lady Panthers are 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the area.
They travel to Blessed Trinity on March 20 and will host Union Grove on March 25.
