Jesse Love qualified first for Saturday’s Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He put the No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing on the pole with a speed of 174.724 mph and a time of 31.730 seconds.
Coming off of a win in Daytona last weekend, Love is looking to back-to-back to begin the season.
“I drive fast race cars,” Love said. “They have big power, and my crew chief Danny Stockton is really good at his job as well.”
Austin Hill will start alongside teammate Love after qualifying second in the No. 21 car Bennett Transportation Chevrolet with a speed of 174.378 mph and a lap of 31.794 seconds. Hill won last year’s spring race at the 1.54-mile track in Hampton, Georgia.

In the No. 11 car, Josh Williams qualified 3rd with a speed of 173.684 and time of 31.920 seconds. Last year’s Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier qualified 4th with a speed of 173.652 and a lap of 31.926 seconds. Sam Mayer rounded out the top-5 with a speed of 173.619 and a time of 31.932 seconds.
“The sweet spot is definitely out front,” Love said. “I just try to get out front and control the lanes. I have a good knack for that.”
The 163-lap race begins at 5 p.m. tomorrow on CW.
