Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior Braeden Kerrane as the 17th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“I had a really great race and I was running by myself for most of three miles,” Kerrane said. “Our team runs really deep, and I had a lot of great support from the varsity runners.”
At the Coach Wood Invitational on October 19, Kerrane ran in the JV Championship Division. He finished 13th overall with a time of 17 minutes, 20.77 seconds. Then, last week on October 26, he finished 4th in the JV Championship with a time of 17 minutes, 26.76 seconds.
“Braeden has really developed into what he is this year,” head coach Austin Enriquez said. “At the last race, he took off, and I really thought he deserved an award.”
JV finished 9th overall at the Coach Wood Invitational. Varsity boys finished 6th overall. Junior Nate Pacetti was the highest finisher on the team, placing 16th overall in 16.39.61.
Starr’s Mill hosts the varsity sectional meet on November 2 at One Church.
