Freshmen Panther volleyball took on rival Whitewater last night at home and won in a blowout victory. The Panthers beat the Wildcats 25-1, 25-12.
“I think we did good in the first set,” Alexa Williams said. “We had a few mistakes in the second set, but it’s okay.”
The team has improved since their season opener. Unlike the previous game, they did not struggle to get going and communicated much better as a team, making their playing style cohesive and collaborative.
“We used to start a lot of our sets very slowly,” head coach Erin Badger said. “They have really eliminated that.”
Through eliminating the slow starts and communicating better, the Panthers made quick work of the Wildcats. The team’s season is looking bright and the Panthers continue to work to improve their game in every aspect.
After their tournament this Saturday at Lakepoint, the Panthers travel to Carrollton on September 18 to take on Adairsville and Carrollton.
