On January 19, JV boys basketball lost a down-to-the-wire game against region opponent Fayette County High School, 39-38.
“We couldn’t score when we needed to,” sophomore Gus Stembridge said. “We also had a hard time grabbing rebounds.”
Junior Jory Williams led the team in scoring with 15 points followed by sophomore Jon Minters with eight points.
“We just couldn’t move the ball well on offense,” sophomore Jackson Schwieger. “It didn’t help that we slacked on defense too when getting back.”
The Panthers and opposing Tigers went back and forth in a close and competitive game that saw a last-second shot fall short. This marks the fifth loss of the season for the JV Panthers.
