JV girls basketball showed a lot of potential Wednesday night when they beat Woodward Academy, 26-14.
The team struggled most with turnovers. However, they remain focused on overall court awareness and just knowing where to go and how to get there.
“[I need to improve on] ball handling,” junior Ava Hendre said.
The game was pretty close during the first half, but the girls started pulling away toward the end.
“This team has got a lot of potential, a lot,” head coach Peyton Dean said. “They have got a high ceiling, and they’re willing to work hard and hustle, so I think we will have a good season.”
The freshmen girls team also won Wednesday. This is the first year for that program.
The Lady Panthers play again on November 27 at Lamar County.
