With flag football headed into the postseason, the team continues to work on consistency.
“It’s a rollercoaster ride. We have had some ups and some downs. We will come out and look really good one game, and then come out and be flat the next game,” head coach Mark Williamson said. “I don’t know if we’ll call it growing yet.”
The team is 8-8 overall and 2-3 in region. Since the program is only two years old, the coaches and players continue to learn along the way.
“[Being on this team has taught me that] hard work pays off,” senior linebacker Tyana Smith said.
Team won one of its two games against Pike County on November 9. The score of the first games was 7-6 in favor of the Pirates. The Panthers then won the second game 20-6.
The Lady Panthers are now 4th seed in region and are set to play top seeded East Coweta.
“Everybody’s beatable,” Williamson said.
The Panthers travel to East Coweta tonight for a 5:30 p.m. start.
