Tim Monihan and Farmers Insurance recognize junior Lincoln DeLaere as the 10th Player of the Week for the fall sports season.
“Lincoln had a very good game,” head coach Chad Phillips said. “He made some really big catches blocked very well and put us in a position to win.”
In last week’s loss to Trinity, DeLaere had six receptions for 87 yards. He has 19 receptions for 304 yards overall. His longest reception so far this season was 41 yards.
“Be on the field and play with my friends,” DeLaere said when asked what his favorite part of being on the team was.
Junior Logan Inagawa completed 9 of 17 passing attempts for 101 yards with one interception. Several miscues resulted in Starr’s Mill losing to the Lions, 17-10. The Panthers are now second in the region standings behind Trinity.
Starr’s Mill travels to Fayette County High School tonight. The game against the Tigers begins at 7:30 p.m.
