From the Mill to Minnesota
Senior kicker Michael Lantz commits to Division I school
January 25, 2019
Senior Michael Lantz may have played his last game at Starr’s Mill, but his football career will continue at the University of Minnesota. He played for three years at the Mill and broke the record for the longest field goal in school history, highest average yards per field goal in a season, and extra points made in a season. He also tied the record for field goals made in a season. Lantz accomplished his record 50-yard field goal on three occasions. He did so in 2017 against Sandy Creek, and then against McIntosh and Fayette County in 2018.
