Junior Kieran Bell is currently listening to “Honeybee” by Steam Powered Giraffe.
“It’s funky and sweet,” Bell said.
“Honeybee” was originally a romance song for the writer, Isabella Bunny Bennett’s girlfriend, but turned into a love lost song instead.
The song is beautiful with a folk feel to it. The main instruments being piano and acoustic guitar. As well as being the producers of their music, Steam Powered Giraffe have a unique style where they dress up as “steampunk” robots, a thing that branches across all of their music.
“Honeybee” was released on the album “The Two-Cent Show” in 2012. The song is also on “Music from SteamWorld Heist” and is featured on two concert albums.
“Honeybee” is their number one song on Spotify, having almost 27 million views, and also has 16 million views on their music video on YouTube.
“I like other songs from them [too],” Bell said. “I like their songs because it’s all themed around steampunk, and they mix their theme flawlessly into their work.”
“Honeybee” is available to stream on all major streaming platforms.
