Math teacher Dr. Nick Castagna is currently listening to “Blitzkrieg Bop” by Ramones.
“We sing it every morning in the car with our girls,” Castagna said. “They sing it out loud, and then we play it in the car and we all sing it at the top of our lungs as we go to daycare.”
The song has an upbeat feel to it. It has an inspirational vibe, helping to put you in a more positive mood. The song is mostly about celebrating the rock fandom and how amazing rock music is.
Rock music is so much more than just a genre. It is inspiring to many people. It is fitting to have a song written in honor of the genre.
The Ramones are often said to be the first punk rock group. Tommy Erdelyi, also known as Tommy Ramones, is the only surviving member of the band. He was the original drummer but left the band to produce music records.
The band continued to make music for a few years after, but the band did not end up working with all the original people starting to leave. Members of the band started to leave or pass away. Their music is still played frequently, especially in TV shows or commercials.
“In the song they go like, ‘Hey Ho lets Go’,” Castagna said.
This song is one of the first punk rock songs by the first punk rock band. “Blitzkrieg bop” is a motivating and stimulating tune.
You can listen to “Blitzkrieg Bop” on Spotify, Apple Music, and other music streaming services.
