Junior Zariyah Dogan is currently listening to “We’re Not Alike” by Tate McRae.
“I love the message,” Dogan said. “She’s telling us that her man chooses another girl [although] they’re not alike.”
“We’re Not Alike” tells the story of her getting stabbed in the back by people who she thought she could trust.
In the beginning of the song McRae introduces her lack of good judgment and how she is struggling with betrayal. The song details how she was betrayed by her friend and boyfriend, and how she would never stab someone in the back like that.
“I love that she can dance, and she puts on a really good show,” Dogan said.
“We’re Not Alike” is from the album “Think Later” released in 2023.
Tate McRae entered the spotlight after she was a finalist in the show “So You Think You Can Dance” at age 13. She has recently made music, with her first EP released in 2020. In a few years she has already won Breakthrough Artist and Album of the Year from the Juno awards.
“We’re Not Alike” is available on all streaming platforms.
