Science teacher Stacy Killingsworth has been listening to “Do you hear what I hear” by Bing Crosby.
The song “Do you hear what I hear” is an original Christmas song performed by Bing Crosby, but many other artists, including Whitney Houston, Carrie Underwood, Andy Williams, have covered it.
“As a person of faith it helps confirm my faith,” Killingsworth said.
“Do you hear what I hear” was originally a prayer hoping for peace during the Cuban Missile crisis of 1962. The lyrics look back on the birth of Jesus and the occurrence of events surrounding the traditional Christmas story.
The song came out in 1962 on “The Wonderful Songs of Christmas” album. Other popular songs on the album include “Silver Bells” and “Sleigh Ride.”
“I like the story that it tells,” Killingsworth said. “It builds up to a finale.”
