“Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac

AP Literature and British Literature teacher Jillian Bowen is currently listening to “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac. It is a song that brings back happy memories.

AP Literature and British Literature teacher Jillian Bowen is currently listening to “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac. 

“I heard it more recently again,” Bowen said. “It used to be a song that my dad would put on when he got home from work.”

Fleetwood Mac is a British-American rock band who is based in London and formed in 1967. The band consisted of many people, but more notably the band currently consists of Mick Fleetwood, Steve Nicks, John McVie, Mike Campbell, and Nell Finn. 

“Don’t Stop” is from “Rumours,” Fleetwood Mac’s 11th album. This album was categorized as rock and featured several other popular songs such as “Dreams” and “The Chain.”

“If I had a bad day at school, we would dance it out to the song together,” Bowen said.

“Rumours” was Fleetwood Mac’s most popular album, released in 1977. It went on to sell 15 million copies worldwide. It earned Album of the Year at the Grammys in 1978, remained on the U.K. charts for 433 weeks, and remained on the U.S. Billboard charts for 130 weeks. 

“It has good memories, and it makes me happy,” Bowen said.
