Senior Kirnu Hwang is listening to “80’s Comedown Machine” by The Strokes.

“It’s a very soothing, very calm sound,” Hwang said.

The song is about a failed attempt at love and the persistence to find it again. It was released in 2013 as a part of The Strokes album “Comedown Machine.”

“One of my friends is really obsessed with the artist,” Hwang said. “So I gave them a try, and it just clicked.”

The Strokes are an alternative/indie band with six studio albums and 17 singles. Their album “Comedown Machine” reached number ten on both U.S. and U.K. charts.

“80’s Comedown Machine” is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, YouTube Music, and iHeart.
