Senior Allissa Chiu is currently watching the show “Prison Break.”
Prison Break follows Michal Scofield and his brother Lincoln Burrows. Lincoln gets wrongfully incarcerated and thrown in jail for a crime he did not commit. Michael holds up a bank to get thrown in jail with the hopes of escaping with his brother. However, even after their escape they are consistently chased down by authorities and must escape recapture by coming up with different political stunts and fighting conspiracies.
The show stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell as Michael and Lincoln, respectively. Miller has been featured in many things including “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and Purcell has been in other popular dramas like “House.” The creator of the show, Paul Scheuring, has also created many other shows including “Halo: Nightfall” and “Den of Thieves.”
What did you enjoy about this series?
“I love this show because of the plot and insane amount of suspense throughout,” Chiu said.
What motivated you to watch this series?
“I originally saw this show on TikTok and it made me want to watch the show,” Chiu said.
What was the most memorable part of this series?
“Some of my favorite parts are when Michael outsmarts Mahone and when Michael helps Sara escape from the other prisoners,” Chiu said.
How is this series different from others you have watched?
“I don’t watch a lot of shows from other series,” Chiu said. “I would say it can be pretty intense and a lot of people die.”
What other series similar to this would you recommend?
“Another similar series would be ‘Dexter’,” Chiu said. “They are both suspenseful and emotional, and both main characters break laws for what is right.”
