French teacher Jill Snelgrove recently watched “Bad Seeds.”
The movie follows Wael, who used to be a street child and worked with his mother Monique to swindle many people. The duo continues for years until they get caught by Monique’s old friend Victor who runs an organization to help troubled teens. Victor makes the two help him deal with the kids, but Wael is able to use his past experience to gain the trust of the teens.
The movie is directed by Kheiron who in all his movies has written and featured in the films. He has directed another film called “All Three of Us,” which follows an Iranian family who moves to France to get a better life.
What do you enjoy about this film?
“The kids help him get his life back in order,” Snelgrove said. “And it’s funny and lighthearted.”
What motivated you to watch this film?
“We were flying to Paris, and I don’t usually get the chance to sit and watch a movie,” Snelgrove said. “So I thought I would take the opportunity to watch it.”
What was the most memorable part of the film?
“I think just the ending,” Snelgrove said. ”It has a happy ending, and it’s a feel-good story.”
How was this film different from others you have watched?
“Well, it’s a French film, but I think the element of comedy made it different,” Snelgrove said.
What other films similar to this one would you recommend?
“I would say something like ‘Dangerous Minds’, although that movie is more serious and this movie has a touch of comedy,” Snelgrove said.
