Senior Georgia Moore recently watched “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
This film is a sequel to the first “Beetlejuice” movie released in 1988. It follows the story of Lydia’s teenage daughter, Astrid, who goes on her own adventure to the afterlife, just like her mother.
American director, producer, writer, animator, and illustrator Tim Burton directed the film. Beetlejuice is played by returning actor Michael Keaton, Lydia Deetz played by returning actress Winona Ryder, and Astrid Deetz is played by Jenna Ortega.
What did you enjoy about this film?
“I really like that they made a sequel for it,” Moore said. “They had the original cast.”
What motivated you to watch this film?
“I’m a huge Beetlejuice fan, so of course I had to go and see it,” Moore said.
What was the most memorable part of the film?
“Getting to see the original actor for Beetlejuice [Michael Keaton] play his role again,” Moore said.
How is this film different from others that you have watched?
“It’s very different in the sense that it is a Tim Burton kind of style,” Moore said. “It wasn’t dark, but it wasn’t light.”
What other films are similar to this one you would recommend?
“Definitely ‘Wednesday’ because Jenna Ortega’s really good,” Moore said. “Or just ‘Beetlejuice’ the musical.
“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” released in 2024 and is currently in theaters. The movie will be released on all streaming platforms in October.
