Sophomore Maddy Johnson recently watched “Wednesday.”
“Wednesday” follows Wednesday Addams’ teenage years as a student, learning to control her psychic powers, and solving the recent murders around her school. It is a series full of the supernatural with a twist of mystery.
What did you enjoy about this film/series?
“I really liked that it was a different take on the Addams family, and I really liked how it highlighted Wednesday’s life,” Johnson said. “I also really enjoyed Jenna Ortega in it.”
What motivated you to watch this film?
“I saw it all over Instagram and TikTok,” Johnson said. “I really just wanted to see what it was about. Also, Jenna Ortega really just motivated me to watch it.”
What was the most memorable part of the film?
“I think the most memorable part was whenever I saw the hand,” Johnson said. “The hand in the series was so realistic and I was just not expecting it to pop out of nowhere.”
How is this film/series different from others that you have watched?
“It incorporates all different kinds of magical elements that the regular Addams family didn’t do,” Johnson said. “It just kind of highlighted the kid’s point of view.”
What other films are similar to this one would you recommend?
“‘Stranger Things’ highlights a lot of magical elements,” Johnson said. “Also, you could watch the regular ‘Addams Family’.”
