Sophomore Morgan Williams recently finished reading “Space Case” by Stuart Gibbs.
“I really like this book because it is about the first people to live on a new colony,” Williams said. “It’s about a kid who has to grow up facing the challenges of living in space.”
This book is about a child named Dash who is trapped inside the tiny moon base. The only other kid Dash’s age is just hooked into a VR machine. When the moon base’s top scientist turns up dead, Dash does not believe it happened on accident. Thinking someone killed the scientist, Dash goes on a mission to find out what really happened.
“I found out about this book through a friend who loves space and the idea of living on another civilization,” Williams said.
Stuart Gibbs has published 39 books. His best selling books are “Charlie Thorne and the Last Equation,” “Charlie Thorne and the Lost City, “The FunJungle,” “Moon Base Alpha” and the Spy School series. Gibbs has written screenplays, worked on movies, and he even worked on research about capybaras. Out of all his best selling books, he is most known for his Spy School series.
“I would recommend this book to other people only if they like space and murder mystery,” Williams said.
The overall message of “Space Case” is being able to find creative ways to solve problems.
