Math teacher Heather McNally is currently reading “The Last Thing He Told Me” by Laura Dave.
“It’s fabulous,“ McNally said. “I like how she flashes back. She keeps you very interested in the story. It’s just different than a lot of books I’ve read recently.”
The book is about a widow who was left with the mystery behind her late husband’s death. At first, she believed it was innocent but soon finds out there’s more to the truth.
“I heard about it, and I think they actually made it into a series,” McNally said. “I heard it was really good from my aunt and my father who watched the series.”
Laura Dave is an American novelist born in 1997 from New York City, New York. She published her first book in 2006. Other notable works by her include “The Eight Hundred Grapes,” “The Divorce Party,” and “The First Husband.”
“I think anybody would really enjoy it,” McNally said. “It’s suspenseful and really good.”
“The Last Thing He Told Me” sends a message about the things we sacrifice for those we care about. It also explores themes of loyalty and family.
