Assistant principal and athletic director Shane Ratliff read “Energy Bus” by Jon Gordon. He often returns to the book to review valuable life lessons.

“It teaches you about being positive, having positive energy, and how to handle certain situations,” Ratliff said.

“Energy Bus” tells the story of George, a man that is struggling with his job and marriage. One day, George meets an interesting bus driver that teaches him 10 secrets to a more positive life. 

“As I started going down this path into leadership, some of the things I looked forward to in that role were books,” Raliff said. “Jon Gordon is very well known for his leadership books, and this is probably my favorite one that he has.”

Jon Gordon is a bestselling author known for his books on leadership, culture, sales, and teamwork. He has also written “The Power of Positive Leadership” and “Training Camp: What the Best Do Better Than Everyone Else.”

“I would recommend it to anyone who is struggling,” Ratliff said. “If you have a situation where things aren’t going well in your life, I think reading this book will give you that opportunity to put things in perspective.”

“Energy Bus” focuses on turning struggles into positive lessons. Gordon shows readers that anyone can improve their life.
