“Hope Heals”
Starr’s Mill guidance counselor Colleen Petty shares “Hope Heals,” an inspiring true story by Jay and Katherine Wolf.
“Hope Heals” is the life-story of Katherine Wolf and her husband Jay Wolf. They were a picture-perfect couple once upon a time. The couple had a healthy baby boy, a nice home, and their careers basically set in stone — they were living the American dream. That is, of course, until Katherine had a stroke unexpectedly.
“It’s her testimony to the Lord and never losing faith, even though there were some really dark times,” Petty said.
Petty mentions that she would have never read this book if it were not for her daughter-in-law. Her daughter-in-law heard of this book through her church and went to the conference Katherine Wolf attended to promote her book and spread awareness about how people should always expect the unexpected in life.
“I enjoyed it. It helps your faith in your faith journey,” Petty said. “No twists and turns or anything like that.”
Petty would recommend this novel to everyone, but more specifically females due to the fact that the story itself concerns the life of a young woman. As far as the contents of the novel go, there is something in it for every reader — male, female, young, or old.
“Hope Heals” is a novel that will help readers reestablish their faith with the uplifting message that no matter how hard life knocks you down, there is always a way to rebuild and recover.
