In this week’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars,” the theme was Disney: 100 Platinum Edition where Mickey and Minnie Mouse were guests.
The opening song for the show this week was “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from the movie “Encanto.” Dancers performed a variety of dance styles from contemporary and paso doble to foxtrot.
This week’s highest competitors were Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy who received nines from all judges, making their final score a 27 out of 30 points. This couple performed a paso doble routine to the song “Un Poco Loco” from the movie “Coco.” They are at the top of the list. In second place are Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov who received a total of 25 points.
My personal favorite team that competed this week was Charity Lawson and Artem Chigvinstev. They performed a waltz routine to the song “Part of your world” from the live action version of “The Little Mermaid.” They received an eight from each judge, having their final score be 24 points. Their routine was not perfect but they stayed consistent throughout the dance and were dancing together on time.
The eliminations from this week were Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart. They received seven points from each judge and had the least amount of votes throughout the night from the audience.
Week four ended with recognizing the death of Suzanne Somers, a former “Dancing with the Stars” competitor who passed away due to cancer. She competed with partner Tony Dovolani on season 20.
You can stream “Dancing with the Stars” live every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. Viewers are allowed to vote until the last commercial break.
