Cheers & Jeers

Cheers

Cheers to NASCAR and Atlanta Motor Speedway hosting three of our journalists this past weekend. They gave Abby Carter, Craig Bardo, and Annika Pepper, the opportunity to report on and photograph last weekend’s races.

Cheers to prom this Saturday. Juniors and seniors alike are getting ready for a fun Saturday night at Tongue and Groove in Atlanta.

Cheers to March Madness. What makes it so exciting is the parity where any team can win. Does anyone still have a perfect bracket?

Cheers to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp removing the gas tax. This has led to a quick decline in gas prices over the weekend.

Cheers to Pit Vipers. According to staff writer Cecily Shaber, they are iconic and a statement, all while shading your eyes from the sun.

Jeers

Jeers to splatter guns. No one appreciates the fear of unwillingly getting hurt by one just while out and about on the golf cart trails.

Jeers to stress. As high school students, we should not be up until 2:00 a.m. worrying about school work, after getting off work, and having a million other things to do.

Jeers to bad haircuts. It is a huge disappointment when you get a haircut expecting to look amazing, but as soon as you see it you want to cry. Meanwhile, you do not have the guts to tell the stylist, so you quietly sob the whole way home.

Jeers to pollen. It’s spring. It’s Georgia. Enough said.

Jeers to the expense of prom. Why does it cost hundreds of dollars for four hours of teenagers dancing?
