Cheers
Cheers to senior Olivia Price representing Starr’s Mill this past weekend at the Miss Georgia’s outstanding teen forum. Price is also involved in theater, chorus, PALS, and Beta club.
Cheers to the mini-break we have coming up March 11-14. On top of having an enjoyable amount of time off, we also have an asynchronous learning day on March 15.
Cheers to the World Language department food day coming up on March 10. The event allows World Language students to go between all classes and sample food from various cultures.
Cheers to senior Maddie Bacon for organizing a blood drive on March 12. Those interested can go to the Red Cross website and use code RCCStarrsMill. The drive is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Highgrove clubhouse.
Cheers to Chick-fil-A’s Truett’s Luau reopening their dining room. It’s a long-anticipated return after being closed since the original shutdown in 2020.
Jeers
Jeers to pollen. Who wants to be enjoying a nice spring day, and then have to run back inside because their eyes keep watering and they keep sneezing due to pollen?
Jeers to college siblings coming back home for spring break. They eat your food, take your clothes, and leave a huge mess. Can they just go back to school already?
Jeers to senioritis. It’s so close to the end of the year, and all seniors are just about fed up with high school. Even the juniors are ready to be done.
Jeers to the MLB lockout. This is the ninth time this has occurred in MLB history.
Jeers to how nasty people leave the cafeteria. When you come in during B or C lunch there’s always trash and food everywhere. Just clean up after themselves!
