Cheers

Cheers to the academic team placing third in the state. These students and head coach Nancy Close worked hard all year, especially to make adjustments thanks to COVID.

Cheers to Russia and Ukraine meeting for negotiations, and making an effort to discuss peace. They will be reconvening later this week.

Cheers to the new Batman movie coming out this Friday. Twilight’s Robert Patterson is taking on the role of Bruce Wayne in this highly anticipated movie. It could be awesome, right?

Cheers to backpacks being allowed in classrooms again. Despite it being up to each teacher’s discretion, at least there is the opportunity to have our backpacks with us again.

Cheers to Wordl. This highly addictive new game is amazing for improving your spelling and vocabulary.

Jeers

Jeers to gas prices being at an all-time high. At Kroger, gas is currently $3.65 a gallon and is only supposed to increase.

Jeers to the current season of “Euphoria” ending. As sad as it is that the show is over, it is even more saddening when you realize that it will not be coming back until 2024.

Jeers to student loans. Why am I going to be in debt for almost the next 20 years, just because I want to go to college? And that’s even after earning the Hope Scholarship!

Jeers to the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia getting absolutely nowhere. The two countries have decided to meet again, but Russia is still continuing to attack.

Jeers to people who take forever to use the bathroom. So imagine this: You’re in class and really need to use the restroom, but your teacher only allows one person to go at a time, which is understandable. The person who went before you is the type of person who takes 20 minutes to go to the restroom, and then wanders around the halls. By the time the person gets back, class is almost over, and you are about to wet your pants. To all those people, go to class!
