Cheers & Jeers
Cheers

Cheers to the Buffalo Bills. Despite the loss, seeing two Starr’s Mill alumni, Cole Bishop and Sam Martin, play together was awe inspiring to say the least.

Cheers to 25 years of the swim team being county champions. Seeing the streak stay alive is incredible! Hoping to see 26 in ‘26!

Cheers to Vision Night. It is helpful for incoming freshmen and returning Panthers to see what options they have out there in the years beyond. Check out Editor Chloe Fitzsimmons’ promotional story for more information.

Cheers to artists releasing tour dates. Being able to see your favorite artist is always great, and finding out when that is possible is exciting! Personally, I cannot wait for the Kendrick Lamar concert in April.

Cheers to new seasons of TV shows. From “Daredevil” to “Stranger Things,” a lot of good shows are finally coming back!

Jeers

Jeers to the Kansas City Chiefs winning. Can we please not have another year of Chiefs being in the Super Bowl? They have been at almost every one this decade.

Jeers to Wifi going out. Last week due to the cold, we had spotty wifi. This made the virtual learning days even worse.

Jeers to everyone getting sick. Winter brings headaches, runny noses, and the ever-present cough. It is truly frustrating.

Jeers to this week. This week will feel extremely long due to last week being an impromptu break. Hope you enjoy the slog!

Jeers to the huge workload. In addition to being a slog, this week will also have a lot of extra work. Those virtual days did not really alleviate the issue of teachers trying to make up for lost instructional time.
