Opinion: Mainstream media negatively affecting America

American mainstream media increases political polarization. The need for speaking out against it and eventually combating it is of utmost importance.

The citizens of America could learn something from the saying “Peace and Love.” In today’s society, animosity and bitterness toward each other due to political stances is normalized in the most unhealthy fashion.

The great divide of amiability between Republicans and Democrats has widened. They stray further away from friendliness and closer to callousness. And to think it was brought about by America’s own media and their cloak-and-dagger agenda.

Political polarization that the mainstream media brings forth should be avoided like the person sitting next to you who pulls down his mask to sneeze. However, for the sheep who follow them like a deer in headlights not looking anywhere else for information, it is like candy. Candy that they cannot get enough of.

Refuse. Refusing these treacherous ideas is the first step in grasping freedom. Everyone is a free thinker. Being human is being able to think. What is frustrating is people have the ability to think but do not. They choose to let someone else think for them. Refusing the mainstream media’s ideas and formulating independent ones is a stride toward remedying the problem.

Acquiring knowledge through individual means and pondering it to formulate an original conclusion is an important self service. Instantly things begin to be clearer. You begin to mature.

Clarity sets in and it is easier to understand the other side. Then, the animosity dissipates. This journey is one that any citizen can go through. America’s media cannot divide the citizens if they have no place in the citizens’ heads.

The people in charge of the mainstream media are greedy. They crave control. If they feel their control weakening, they simply make it harder to resist their information. Their words can sometimes be absolutely outrageous and people actually buy into them.

Vice President Kamala Harris once likened the January 6 Capitol riots to both 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. Although criticized by some for lack of historical knowledge, she got away with it for the most part. She was even backed up by some news sources.

If everyone stopped blindly trusting in the media, America would not be as polarized as it is today. There would not be this mass hatred toward each other. America would be more peaceful and respectful.

The mainstream media is pulling the strings and we are the victims. We need to stand up, think for ourselves, and pursue freedom of thought. Through defiance of their evil indoctrination we can do this and create a better America.
